Jaipur: (news.kvartha.com 13.08.2020) The BJP has announced that it will move a no-confidence motion against the Ashok Gellot government in the special assembly session starting on 14th August as a major twist to the Rajasthan Congress crisis.

Vasundhara Raje and other Rajasthan BJP leaders joined the first meeting of BJP MLA's held on Thursday since the outbreak of the Congress insurgency in early July, which brought the Ashok Gellot government to the brink of collapse.

Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Gulab Chand Kataria has said that he will bring a no-confidence motion in the Assembly on Friday along with his allies.

The BJP has denied any attempt to pull the MLAs out of power during the month-long insurgency in the Congress. The party had made it clear that it would not seek a no-confidence motion and that it was up to the Congress to hold a vote of confidence to prove a majority.
