AIG Hospital officials said on Monday morning that Nishikant Kamat was on ventilator support and was in critical condition. Nishikant Kamat made his directorial debut in 2005 with the Marathi film Dombivali Fast, which won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi. She made her silver screen debut in 2004 with the Hindi film Hawa Aane De. In 2008, Kamath released her first Bollywood film, Mumbai Mary Jan, which was a huge success. Kamath has directed films like Ajay Devgn-Tabu starrer Drishyam, Irrfan Khan starrer Madari, John Abraham starrer Force, and Rocky Handsome. The apex court asked the concerned parties to file a response within three days after the Center allowed the CBI to conduct an inquiry. It also directed the Maharashtra government to inform the court about all the developments and records of the Mumbai police investigation into Rajput's death. Bihar police and Maharashtra police have been battling for the right to probe the death of the actor, who was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14. Earlier, the antigen test results were negative but tested positive in the SWAB test. Jaya Bachchan is tested negative for Covid 19. Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is said to be in stable condition. She was in ICU at Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra following a heart attack. Saroj Khan was admitted in the hospital on June 20 after she had breathing trouble. The results of the Covid test were negative. After nearly four decades in the dance industry of Bollywood, Saroj Khan has choreographed more than 2,000 songs. In 2018, Irfan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor and has recently returned to acting after receiving treatment abroad. Irrfan Khan was last seen in Angrezi Medium, which released a little over a week before the lockdown was imposed in India. Irrfan acted in many remarkable movies including Bollywood hits Piku, Maqbool, Haasil and Paan Singh Tomar. His English language films included Life Of Pi, Jurassic World, Slumdog Millionaire and The Amazing Spider-Man. Irrfan Khan is survived by his wife Sutapa and two sons. Condolences have been pouring in from across industries at the news of the sad demise of the actor. Aamir Khan-starrer “PK” has minted over Rs.50 crore in two days in the domestic market, and trade experts expect it do “steady” business in coming days. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film released Friday. Girish Johar, who is aware of the economics of the Hindi film industry, tweeted: “#PK does a 50crs+ in flat 2 days – is now the 4th film of 2014 to get 50crs in 2days – The film, which also stars Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Dutt, did better on second day by earning Rs.29 crore, said Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines. “It has collected at least Rs.55 crore in first two days. On the first day, it earned about Rs.26 crore. The next day, it managed to mint Rs.29 crore. They will earn profit, but expectations were higher,” he told IANS. “The film is being liked by people in metropolitan cities. It will maintain steady figures in coming days,” he added.

New York, Jan 28 Actress Sarah Jessica Parker has replaced Demi Moore in the biopic of porn star Linda Lovelace. Moore, 49, dropped out of the biopic starring Amanda Seyfried as the 1970s porn star, after she was hospitalised, reportedly for exhaustion. She was due to play the role of Gloria Steinem, who founded Ms.magazine in 1972. However, the character will now be essayed by Jessica Parker, reports people.com. The magazine published the infamous article "The Real Linda Lovelace" in which Steinem talked about Linda's abusive relationship with her pornographer husband, Chuck Traynor. Chennai, Jan 27 (IANS) Tamil movie superstar Rajnikanth Friday said he will soon be back on the silverscreen in a movie directed by his daughter Soundarya. Speaking to reporters here after handing over a cheque of Rs.10 lakhs to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa towards Cyclone Thane Relief Fund, Rajnikanth said the shooting of the film, "Kochadaiyaan", would start very soon. Rajnikanth termed his meeting with Jayalalithaa a courtesy call. According to a state government release here, a total of Rs.28.4 crore has been received in the cyclone relief fund.

Mumbai, Jan 24 (IANS) If Kamal Haasan had his way, superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be the only actor to step into his shoes for the Hindi remake of Gautham Menon's Tamil film "Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu". Shah Rukh is currently in a dilemma as he has to choose between the remakes of two Tamil films - "Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu" and A.R. Murugadoss's "Ramanna". Both offer the picky King Khan a chance to do something he hasn't done before -- a south Indian remake with parts that he hasn't tried before. "While Murugadoss's film casts SRK as a social crusader, Menon's film casts him as a cop, a role he has played just once in Shashilal Nair's 'One 2 Ka 4' and that too a plain-clothed cop.
