Lock down may extend in Maharashtra; Sixty-seven new cases were reported in the state

State health minister Rajesh Tope has announced that the lock-down period in Maharashtra may be extended. The government is planning to extend the lockdown period for another two more weeks in Mumbai and other urban areas.

Sixty-seven new cases of Covid 19 were reported in the state. Of these, forty-three cases were reported from Mumbai alone. With this, the number of people diagnosed with the disease has increased to five hundred and thirty-five.

Seven more people who attended the Tablighi conference in Nizamuddin have been confirmed positive today. One thousand two hundred and twenty-five persons from the state participated in the religious assembly on 13th of March. Seven hundred and thirty five out of the thousand twenty-five who have been contacted by the government are put in quarantine.
